No I don’t have an alternative Constitution, and to entertain one is to miss the point. We have finished losing battles because we have lost the war. We of the slow-footed conservative trailer park of lost hope are just getting traction with the idea that there may be a fight coming, and it’s already over. This is what defeat looks like. We should be so lucky as to see a boot smashing a human face forever and so forth. Instead we are co-opted into doing it to ourselves for them. We mash our faces into the dirt because that’s the system. Can’t help you at window A, please take a ticket for window B and have a seat. By the time WIndow B tells us to try window A, it’s a different crowd, and they think we’re crazy. Sorry, you don’t have standing. Sorry, you have to win elections. Sorry, the media won’t like it. Sorry, you don’t have standing. This is what defeat tastes like. We will not see a return to the rule of law, a resurgence of a people worthy of self-government, nor the restoration of a country so esteemed in the world that its institutions are aped by even the most tyrannical dictatorships in a bid for legitimacy. I would say kiss it goodbye, plant a tender peck on its cool forehead before the box is closed, but it’s too late for that too. There’s nothing left.

So accept for argument’s sake that chartered federal agencies are executing political policy instead of, and often at odds with their chartered goals. Fine. It is worth it to discern the political goals, and specifically, the mid-range goals from the actions. Obama "…cannot bring himself to put limits on contacts between Americans and the citizens of the countries…†and this fragment stands on its own. What limit on contact are we allowed to maintain, other than being driven apart from allies?
If there is a principle which informs this administration’s well-evidenced goal of erasing America’s "limits to contactâ€, that is, our borders and our security (as well as health) protocols, it can hardly be beyond the pale to make educated guesses about the name of that principle.
If that principle, once named, can be shown to militate against the continued Constitutional functioning of the federal bureaucracy, isn’t there a case to be made? Why does nobody force the question: How are your actions Constitutional if this_____ is your apparent goal? If that is not your goal, then what is the purpose behind these ___, ___, and ___ actions? How are those actions within the mandate of these ___ agencies?
Why have we seen six years of Darrell Issa’s oversight theater and not one single result? I’m done waiting for someday. Their ammo makes great fireworks, but nothing is ever fired for effect. Some on the committee are very impressive, and constitute the core of whom I consider worth a darn in DC. But despite some great TV moments, there has been no effect other than a few cosmetic resignations. Lois Lerner was replaced by a sturdier character who is just as implacably opposed to oversight and the rule of law. Every once in a while some morsel is torn free. For this we needed six years of supposedly rigorous oversight?
There’s the possibility that oversight pressure played in Holder’s resignation. but that is a fact not in evidence, and I have a backpack full of such hopes and promises. At the end of the march, they always turn out to be rocks.
As long as we do not force the question, then the easily predictable collapses of existing orders and therefore "necessary†implementation of new programs and systems is allowed to masquerade as a merely unfortunate series of events, rather than a diabolical plan hatched by Communists. So sorry that ObamaCare thing didn’t work out, and now there are no insurance companies. Well, on to single payer then.
It is not as though these people have been quiet or even reluctant to publish their aims, their methods, and their phase lines. Why does our party generate no effective challenge to this treason by name? What good is such gentility when it buys us tyranny? Are we so enamored of good manners that we would rather die politely than live forcefully?
Shall this society continue? Shall it perish from the earth? To be, or not to be?
If we are not now at the point where these are the questions before us, when would that be?

That said, the "lame duck" promises to be ugly, and here are a couple predictions...
The commies will use the debt ceiling fight, coupled with the "taxmageddon" deadline to extract an agreement from the weak-kneed who supposedly represent us. The agreement, as well as the aftermath will be ugly.
Any increase on "S-corps" will be exactly as bad or worse than free-marketeers (like myself) predict.
Obamacare is a done-deal. Maybe the worst elements will be pushed off for a few years, but damned if the clock isn't ticking.
Romney/Ryan will last only one term, since the shit economy will be baked in the cake by Obamacare/Tax recidivism.
I have zero optimisim other than Romney/Ryan winning the 2012 election. Sure, they'll win this thing, but there has been so much shit piled on that we are living the Harrison Bergeron Economy.
I forever curse the man who calls himself "Barack Obama".

I bought a case of Milwaukee Best* this evening, and I'm going to drink every time that limp-wristed Marxist fuck plays the class-warfare card.
It should be interesting, and I have work on speed-dial in case things go terribly wrong (if, for instance, I listen to the entire thing). Milwaukee Best comes in a 30 pack, and that's a lot of firepower.
Wish me luck.
*UPDATE* I barely made it ten minutes. Two beers in 5 minutes, and I decided the SCOAMF is too difficult to take. Fuck. If I'm going to drink beer, I prefer to enjoy it, not get all worked up because some lying piece of shit living in fantasy-land comes on the TeeVee and starts talking up "green jobs".
We really can't be rid of Ogolfeline soon enough.
*Of course I know it's "Milwaukee's Best", not "Milwaukee Best", I continue stating the name in that manner to honor a friend.

It isn't often that I disagree with the Head Moron. He's a well-read, thoughtful, persuasive, and eloquent mind... but then there's this:
Would you vote for the antisemitic crank Luap Nor?
More below the fold

"So far only one objection to a potential candidate - about abortion.
No
objections about zero taxes paid by many of our major corporations, no
objections about the 15% tax rate for hedge fund managers (while the
rest of us mopes pay 34%). No objections about our rotting bridges,
highways, sewers while construction workers sit at home unemployed and
while the bond borrowing rates are low. No objections about the lack of
progress on improving our environment. No objections about our failing
education rates."
And below the fold... a rebuttal.

When your enemy is drowning, throw them a rock... and here is a case in which I pray for the nomination of the Socialist Tammy Baldwin.
(From my current nom-de-guerre at the crapwestern)....
She is highly-regarded throughout the state as well as around the nation. She would be very difficult to defeat since she has such a broad base of support, with everybody from the public and private sector unions, the gay and lesbian voters, the government-dependent and food-stamp voters, as well as the doorstep baby citizen children of the border fence jumpers. She will also capitalize on the low-information voter which has been the daily bread of the American left for years.
My chief concern is the debt and deficit, and I believe that Tammy Baldwin will present a compelling case to the voters that she will address these issues. Just like President Obama did, and the same for his predecessor George W. Bush. I realize that the Senate is different from the Presidency, but we need to row the boat in the same direction to solve these problems... and mark these words; Tammy Baldwin will not.
Such a shame that it appears a fait accompli Tammy Baldwin shall become the Junior Senator from Wisconsin. She's practically unstoppable."
It is difficult to believe** the Socialists, Commies, Leftardis, Bongo-bangers, and other morons think Tammy Baldwin stands a snowball's chance at taking the U.S. Senate seat up in 2012. The rest of the state is not Madison, boys and girls, and the SCFOAMFOTUS won't exactly be bringing the commies to the polls in droves. (What is the unemployment rate these days, anyway?)
Best of luck with your little plan, commies.
And keep fucking that chicken.
#
*And here they are...Tied for first—Reps. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Judy Chu, D-Calif., John Lewis, D-Ga., Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., John Olver, D-Mass., Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., and Linda Sanchez, D-Calif.
**But then again, loss after loss after loss might tend to cause the weak-minded to become a bit more, uhh.... unhinged?

It is clear that our limp-wristed Procrastinator-in-Chief is an even worse failure than any had claimed.
Ms. Geller's insider recounts a damning indictment of the First Golfer's haplessness and indecision in the face of an easy choice to grease Obama Osama.
Here's a taste:
We really can't be rid of this marxist nimrod soon enough.

I don't know that P. Henry intended a contest, but it's a great idea, and I'm jumping in with both feet.
Here's the original post...
Do you have to take these gas prices in silence? I don’t think so.
All you have to do is download this pdf, print out a few copies and put them, along with a roll of Scotch tape, into your car.
The next time you fill up, instead of watching in horror as the dollar amount on the pump races by as the gallons trickle into your tank, affix one of these to the pump.
Take care to not cover vital information regarding safety, etc. and don’t cover any advertising.
Then drive off with a smile on your face, knowing that when the next person drives up to the pump they’ll either agree with you and be pleased to know that they’re not alone, be better informed by your message or if it’s an Obamabot, you’ll have thrown water on their circuitry and ruined their day.
Update: Per P. Henry Saddleburr's suggestion, I have changed the image to denote the date of inauguration of our first Marxist President. Thanks PHS!
Update 2: Mailing labels (1" x 25/8" self-adhesive labels) are quite nice. I was worried about the adhesive being too strong, but Maco item ML-3000 removes fairly easily from smooth surfaces. Here's a tag for any number of situations:

Rejoice, Liberty-loving Americans!
Despite the fact we have much heavy lifting to do in order to save this Union, we have indeed taken the first step. Let us celebrate the awakening of proud free people, and let us stomp a mud hole in their asses.
Drink and be merry, for soon the investigations begin!!!! Pray for Rep. Darrell Issa, and may he facecock each and every one of the corrupt bastards!
WOOT!

We can all remember the campaign.
“But as I've said many times beforeâ„¢â€...
“Let me be clearâ„¢â€...
We can't just keep doing the same old things and getting all â€wee-weed
up™†. We need “hope and change™†before we can address the most
important crisis, Global Warmingâ„¢.
